رائحة كلاسيكية معتقة، بخورية (عودية) بحتة، ذات طابع خشبي عميق ومميز. يجمع العود اللاوسي القديم بين الحدة العطرية التي تميل إلى الـ "سويتية" (الحلوة) قليلاً، مع لمسة ترابية مدخنة وعبق زعفراني خفيف في الخلفية.
يتميز هذا العود برائحة نقية وفواحة جداً، تشبه رائحة دهن العود اللاوسي المعتق، حيث يطلق دخانه الأبيض الكثيف رائحة تطغى على المكان بأسلوب ملكي هادئ، ويُعرف بثباته المرتفع الذي يدوم لساعات طويلة على الملابس والأجواء.
